DE BOUWERIJ’S VISION AROUND PLANNING, PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATION

"ABOUT REALITY, TOUGHNESS AND BLACK SWANS"

Organization as such, provides direction, coherence and stability in an assignment.
For De Bouwerij Architects, the organization of a project means that we map out the assignment strategically, tactically and operationally and fit these outputs and plans within the context (macro, meso and micro).

We translate the implicit and explicit customer requirements into an integrated design.

For the realization of this design, we work on the basis of a Master Plan of Action ( see annex ).
This Guide describes how, between internal and external parties involved in a cohesive and interactive way, we migrate from concept situation to project realization.
Respect and focus on timeline and budget form the guiding thread.
The systematic installation of feedback systems between these parties ensures that the financial consequences of each decision immediately take shape.
Our knowledge, experience and creativity ensure that your project receives a lasting form with a contemporary architecture, within the proposed timeline and budget and satisfies the wishes of the end user.

The successful realization of a project for the De Bouwerij Architects goes even further than Organization itself: we see as equally important, the installation of appropriate information and communication flows.

Using our choice of a process-oriented organization, the emphasis is more on the integral use of information by different parties or information users.
Accessibility, efficiency, reliability and timeliness (the right information at the right time) characterize this information. The starting point is therefore, the indexing of the users’ groups and their information needs, in order to install a proper information system and its respective ground rules.

The fact that any cooperation depends on the quality of its communication is stating the obvious. The De Bouwerij Architects don’t speak purely and simply about setting up a common communication strategy, but absolutely about Clear and Transparent communication. This creates a bond, it creates Trust. Unavoidable obstacles that are discussed are also soluble.

However realistic and robust the project may be, Black Swans or improbable and unexpected events can always pop up. After all, a project organization is well thought out and considered, but it’s also only an intellectual map.

Specific to Black Swans is that they like surprises, which by definition are not included in the project, but which have a huge impact on the project and its development pattern. One of the reasons that projects do not meet estimates is that by nature they are not properly thought through within the context
of the Black Swans.
For De Bouwerij Architects, the inclusion of Black Swan detection moments is specific to the vision of organization. We build in permanent push-pull systems and evaluation moments to see if the translation of the strategic, tactical and operational level is still coherent and does not exhibit outliners.
And in the event, then not being too blind to this fact, we refit this within the project organisation.
